The International Clarinet Association has a Composition Competition. The composition in question has to be for clarinet and piano.

A few weeks ago I had to write and perform a piece for the Eck Regional Seminar, and it felt to me like it was bigger than just a small solo clarinet piece. I've been toying around with the idea of writing something longer, so maybe I'll take a stab at this contest. I think it'd be a fun project for the summer. For sure. And more productive than sitting around and playing video games all summer.
